What I see around me is folks hauling round bales with no rigging at all. I see round bales on the road and in the ditches all the time that have fallen off a trailer. One of my neighbors hit a round bale that fell off a truck with her car, damage to her car was extensive but luckily she had on a seatbelt. That is a lot of mass to hit. I see trailers flying down the road with round bales stacked two rows high with no rigging what so ever.
