Yesterday after finishing a 3 day job I thought I would lower the pressure a bit of the bypass on my LW-6. Unfortunately when snugging the lock nuts together I was in a hurry and guess was not thinking that the 1 1/8" wrenches I was using were over a foot long and do not need to be really leaned on. Anyhow, I snapped it. (The threaded bit of the bypass that is connected to underside of the Valve block by 4 small allen bolts.)
Has anyone replaced their Spool Valves on either their LW-6 or 7 Hoe or the ZL-20 or 30 loader? If so, do you want to sell me this part?
I have tried the usual parts places and can get a complete valve body but I only want this part.
The only other problem I have had with this hoe was that when it came it had the flow restrictors in the wrong places so the swing and boom lower were very rough. After I switched them to the correct places (and made up one more) it was much better. Not exactly a Cat but I think better than many have complained about. A lot of hours on it really helped also.

Welcome.
My wife just replaced her stock ZL-20 FEL valve with a replacement kit from Ranch Hand Supply. You can read about it in this thread. Ranch Hand Replacement FEL Valve.
He can get you a kit or spare parts. She is going to keep her stock valve to use for hydraulic side links controls.

Thanks Rob.
I had read your wife's valve replacement previously. Even took time to change the Spool Valve attachment plate to yellow. Now that is perfection.
Unless I can get this bypass part quite quick I probably will replace my valves with a BiB Valve body as I have a 6 spool sitting around. I think though I will mount it back on the R Rear fender for easing tractor entry from the right side. I hope to also put in a single hydraulic cylinder as a side link.

I have exactly the same problem on my Jinma 354's backhoe. Can you tell me how I can determine if my flow restrictors are in the wrong place ... or are even adjustable? Swing and boom lower are so eratic that it takes a LOT of patience to position them accurately. Also, you mentioned lowering the pressure ... why would you want to do that? How do you do that?

Any advise or pointers to articles or threads on this would be appreciated.

thanks
greg

I am in the same situation with my LW7. The swing and boom lower are far too quick. I'm sure our valves are probably similar, if not the same. How did you locate, fabricate and install the restricters. Pictures would be nice.
Thanks
