In my case I had to lift them higher than the capability of the loader. The loader can do 10' and 3000# at the pins. I needed about 17'. The trusses are 150#. Be very careful with weight farther out, because you're dealing with torque (force x distance) and be sure to use a counterweight.

Thanks for the replies. I picked up 20’ of 3” 3/16 wall and a 2’ piece of 3 1/2.
I welded the 31/2 “ to back of forks and slid 3” in. I was able to tilt it down and pick up a 100 # generator. It didn’t like it but it did it. I shortend the boom to 18’and need to beef up the bulk head on fork frame because it bent a bit.
I think with not needing to tilt so far out that I should be ok.

That is super cool this is exactly what I was thinking. I don稚 want to add hydraulics to it though. Even though that is pretty darn cool I don稚 have access to long cylinder like that for a reasonable price but I do have electric winch. I may coordinate it into my design. Thank you

That is how we did it on my shop for the trusses 2 2x6's bolted together and tie down straps to the sides of the bucket.
Mounted the winch and also a bottom bracket that bolted to the bucket floor.

Worked pretty well to use the loader controls to get the truss close to height and then use the winch to get it to the exact height.

The extendable cylinder and all steel construction would be really nice and last a lifetime.

Worked like a charm. Much stronger than I thought it was going to be. It was a bit small for the large trusses so I had a crane truck help me with those. But honestly I could have done it in a pinch just would’ve had to hook a little lower on the truss. And then slide them over into position by hand. I was able to lift 4 trusses at a time to move them but the back got light ones on uneven terrain so three trusses at a time was all I was comfortable with. Very handy and I’m very pleased with it thanks for all the input.
