Kubota Bx24, 2007
Hi everyone. Yesterday I picked up my new BX24, which I imported from US. I think its the first new BX24 here in Sweden:D . So I when got home I unloaded the BX took it in the garage installed my Bro-tek skid plates and thumb checked the fluids, if airfilter was installed (!) Went trough all kind of strange things that a new BX can be deliver without, from different threads I read here on the forum.
Only thing I found was that someone mounted the front tires with the air nipples on the inside....
Anyway, went out, moved a couple of cubic meters of crushed fine stone. Tried the backhoe to start my stair project, the red house is my house. Today sunday I loaded the BX on my trailer and when to my first costumer to scrape of 25cm on 50 meter road up to a house (grey house), used the material to fill out a coming parking space for their cars. So now sunday evening my BX done 12 hours and Im happy as a child:D
I was really impressed what this little machine could do. And I was very impressed of the build of the BX24, very nice indeed.

Thanks for posting... I'm sure you will have many trouble free hours... I'm very pleased with my BX23.

The pictures are great...

Was it difficult to import from the States.... expensive?

Who knows, there might be a Kubota Dealership in your future/

Sam, I am happy to hear that your new BX24 has finally arrived safely in Sweden, after a very very long boat ride. It looks like there is a Santa Claus after all. May you enjoy many years of trouble-free service from it. Can you tell us approximately how much were the shipping costs?

Congratulaions on your purchase, Sam! I can't believe you had the thing shipping from America. That is outstanding! Kubotas are outstanding tractors, and you made what could be the best purchase of your life. Thakns for the pics! Any post with tractor pictures is good. :D

One of my most vivid memories of my trips to europe is the high quality of the equipment at various job sites. But also how small the equipment seemed compared to "normal" size equipment at job sites in the USA. The BX series would seem to be a natural fit to the european market. And it looks like you have proved that in only one day :)

Good luck with all your projects. Hopefully Kubota will get the message and make it easier for you to buy your next BX when you need one -- say 20 years from now ;)

Thanks for your positive replys, great!
Shipping from US cost about 2000 dollar. It was fairly easy to import from US. Sweden import alot of things from US so its usual proceed for shipping people:) I will keep you updated with pics.

Yes I think Santa Claus been very kind to me:)
By the way in the manual it say that the transmission oil is to be changed after 300 hours, and replaced with Kubotas original oil called UDT (if I remember right) is there a translation for that oil, I mean what other oil can I use insted?

Congrats on your new arrival, I can still remember the day when mine was delivered :D

To answer a few of your questions.
There have been several posters that have had great success with useing hydrostatic oil made for other tractors. As long as the label states that it is compatable with Kubota UDT you should be fine.
With that said, Kubota actually recommends you use SUDT (Super UDT) in your BX24. The main difference between UDT & SUDT is SUDT is a multiweight oil and UDT is a straight weight oil. SUDT is supposedly rated better for cold weather operation. But there have been posters that have reported no problems with UDT in the colder climates. I use SUDT but if all I could get was UDT I wouldn't hessitate to use it.

You asked in another thread if the BX24 and BX2350 were similar and YES they are. Basically, the main difference between them is the BX24 has an additional hydraulic connection & subframe added to support the backhoe. Of course the seat mount & ROPS are different but they rarely need servicing.
The engine, HST, electrics, hydraulics (except the remote BH connection) sheet metal & plastic, filters oil, etc., are all the same. They have the same FEL and MMM also.

Good luck with your new machine, it should work out very well for you.

Congrats Sam! It looks like you got the hang of that new tractor (learned to use it) rather quickly.
Good call on putting the skid plates on right away. I only have the rear one, but I am sure it has already saved me lots of money by protecting that plastic fan.
