nahhh the 24th is their equivalent of Canada Day ( July 1) they are a distinct nation and society and do what they want to do within Canada . so they don't celebrate the day they would have to recognize as the day they lost to the British and became a conquered nation ....
they haven't caught on to the August holiday cause no one told them they " have to" , yet ... so keep it quiet :laughing:
the Civic holiday is the generic name for " take a holiday this month and call it what you want " ... BC Day in BC .. Sask in Sask, soon to be Terry Fox day in Manitoba , ... towns call it different names too , Burlington - Joseph Brant Day , Colonel By Day in Ottawa, Simcoe Day in Toronto .... the list goes on ....
