H.F. Tire Changer Saves Me Money

My new-to-me Polaris Ranger had some pretty worn tires on the front when I bought it several weeks ago. Some time back my kid bought a new Polaris ATV and switched out the tires first thing so I bought the two front tires from him for a measly 40 bucks, figuring I'd use them at some point. They came in handy today.

Last week I stopped into the local Polaris dealer and asked how much to mount two tires. I knew they wouldn't give me a bargain to keep me coming in because they can't think that deeply, and I was right. The charge would be $40 for both. I've had an eye on the Harbor Freight tire changer and decided to search for it on YouTube and of course, it's all over the place. I expected it to be slammed as nothing but junk but no, it was embraced by those who made the videos. For $44, I decided to give it a try.

Worked better than I thought it would. I thought I would have to struggle a bit but I didn't have to. I screwed it down to the deck behind my shed with some lag bolts, used some WD40 for bead oil and the two tires mounted up like a charm. I didn't even have to put a choke around the tires to get them to inflate. Sometimes things just go your way.

i got one and love it.

I paid 36$ 'back when' the first tire i did on it saved me it's purchase cost.. and it's done many more.

I use vegi soap as bead lube..

works great.. even debeads good.

the funky tire rod/spoon they give you even works. though it's nice to have a couple other spoons too. tough tires like 2..

I hope you get plenty of use out of yours like i got out out of mine

I get their coupons all the time. Printed and in email. I clipped the discount ones if anyone wants it. Just print it out and give it to them at the checkout. Squeezer I just may go buy one of those for the same reason. Thanks for the tip.
