Anybody have utility pole guy wires you have to mow under?

Yep, I did have one, but only caught it once, and fortunately not close enough to the ground to do anything more than startle me.

Yes. I have seen the overhead lines swaying after getting too close with my rig.

I have 3 of them. One of them my own, the other 2 owned by the Electric Co.

had some. Thanks to carelessness with the horse trailer trying to turn around in a snow storm at 3am, I no longer have a guy wire.


Apparently they designed not to take the pole down if you snag one :/

I have three sets of two attached to my 70' ham radio antenna tower. I'm VERY careful when I'm anywhere near those guy wires. It's my tower and my money involved.

Yup...

It's one of the 3 areas that I'm the only one allowed to mow. (Along with the ditch & the area around the woodpiles.) Fortunately, it comes down at just steep enough an angle that I can almost treat it like the pole & just skim around it. Any shallower an angle & I'd reach for the weed-wacker.

I don't know who the poster was or the name of the thread and couldn't find it after doing several searches,

Anybody happen to have a link to that thread?

I have A guy wire that I need to have removed or relocated but I can't even get Charter Cable to come out and look at the problem much less fix it.

Anyone out there in TBN Land ever have any success with getting Charter to do anything?
