As noted, since I've had the machine, only the second time that horn went off. That said, yes, it is a VERY good feature IMO.
Actually kind of forgot about it. Perhaps once or twice where the machine actually looked like it would overheat and I stopped and took care of the debris. This time forwhatever reason, completely ignored it and didn't look at the gauges.

"bush hogging" with a rear discharge deck with the F mower. Lot of grass build up under the machine caused it to overheat. The "horn" alerts you that there is a issue so you stop the mower which I did.

The factory radiator screening at least in my F3060 is about as good as it gets (without rotating, or self cleaning motorized screen like some Ag equipment may have), but it still needs to be cleaned out periodically depending on conditions.
It has double screening and they are easy to clean.
