GT1554 Grease Fittings

I need to replace a deck spindle grease fitting on a Cub GT1554VT. It is smaller than 1/4". Are they metric or SAE?

It's best to get them from the dealer. Even worse, they're not threaded. They're flanged and you knock them in. IMO it's way too easy to pop one off when pulling the grease gun.
