GT 5000 no go

I have a GT5000 with 52" deck. Transmission won't engage. I haven't crawled under to look at. Is it typically a belt or linkage? Looking for tips before I bury my head under there. Thanks all.:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Typical for that size tractor is belt drive. The HST control kicks in the belt tension.

but Dang I wish I had an hst. Would cut time by a big margin

Fixed. It was the belt which had come off. Was a son of a gun to get to. I don't know how I would replace the belt. Worry when it happens I guess.:laughing::laughing:
