Anyone know what the ground clearance with the MMM attached and in the "locked" up position? The dealer said around the 6-8" mark, but not for certain!? He didn't have any MMM's in stock to check. Thanks for all the info you guys provided for a "NEWBIE" to gather and go over before such an investment! Keep up the good work! I

Just so happened I put my 60" mmm on this morning. The dealer is being somewhat optimistic, the deck bottom edge on my GC2600 varies between 4.25 and 5 inches when in the locked up position. The center roller wheel is at about 3 inches and the outrigger wheels between 2.5-3 inches each of which will, of course, vary depending on how they're adjusted.

I was hoping he was right, but I kind of figured it wasn't as high as Kubota's. They are claiming 6". So if I raise the wheels, or remove them, figure about 4.25"?

After removing the wheels and a doing a little tweaking to the lift arm adjustments I think you could count on about 4.5"- 5".

Yeah, I just checked my GC2400. I'd agree- its about 4.25" (maybe 4.5") when fully raised.

I just went through Operators manual for the mower and it states after proper adjustment the clearance "must" be approximately 6 inches. I'm not sure if the arms on my tractor were ever adjusted for the proper clearances but would explain why the right and left side of the mower hang at slightly different heights when up. I'll head out and adjust the linkages per the manual and see if the clearances increase at all.

Adjustments per the manual get me 4.75 inches on the right and 5.5-5.75 inches on the left. The linkage adjustments (linkage to stop clearance)are made without weight on them but a soon as the mower is attached and lifted the adjustment clearances increase by an inch or so. With that in mind it does appear the deck could be adjusted for an all around approx 6 inches (the front seems to always hang a little lower than the back) of ground clearance without linkage issues with the deck on but the linkages would not be adjusted per the manual and the right linkage would definitely contact the stop and the left likely would without the mower attached in the locked up position.

Edit: I just finished the adjustments to get the mower as high as it can go while maintaining a consistent clearance and had to settle for an even 5 inches of clearance all around. The right adjuster is as high as it can go even though there's room for another 3/4 of an inch of height should one decide to modify the mounts.

I'm glad you posted this, it gave me the motivation to properly setup the deck.:)

Just out of curiosity what's your concern with the ground clearance? Is it your intent just to maximize the ground clearance for duties other than mowing or do you have one specific operation which requires a specific amount of clearance?

Yeah, just for leaving the deck on while using the FEL or BH and not worry about clearence. 5" should work for stuff around the yard but I don't think 6" would even be enough for around the ruff stuff. Should be buying one this week:drool: want to get my all the info I have been thinking about this weekend. Can't wait not sleeping well:confused2:
