I own another business, so the farm is just the wrong size- a little too big for a hobby. I have mostly old stuff, but all in good shape. Deere 3010 diesel utility (I'm told pretty rare) Deere 350 diesel crawler loader with backhoe, MF 150 diesel. Also a line of hay machinery and other implements. Both Deere's had to be overhauled due to coolant in the base. They now have spin on coolant conditioners (as does everything else I own.)
I have a specific question regarding the 3010. 1,200 hours since an overhaul. There is a slight "tick" in the engine after it warms up. I just checked the valve lash and if anything they were a bit tight. One of the nozzles (also overhauled) has always been wet externally and I wondered if an internal leak could be the cause of the tick as well as the leak. I'm also going to listen to the hydraulic pump with a stethoscope.
