Kabota BX1850 2009
Hello
I am a novice when it comes to tractors but I really love my subcompact BX1850.

This weekend as I was getting my BX ready to start mowing. I did realized it was missing all its water.
After doing a check I started to fill it and discovered I am missing a freeze plug.
I call a local Kabota dealer and a young man answered the phone he does not know what a freeze plug it is. So now I’m not sure of his realizability on finding parts.

I got off the phone and found this place. Is there a site where I can view Kabota parts for my self or find out what the size of the freeze plugs are.

Messicks is the best for online parts.

But you can also go to the local tractor supply if you know the size/pitch and just grab a generic bolt.

Yep. And if you want your dealer to be a “good” dealer, be a good customer. Buy some stuff from him, even though it’s cheaper on-line. Be patient with the kid behind the counter. Don’t get frustrated. Your dealer is the BEST conduit to the manufacturer for resolving issues and finding parts. You get what you pay for. Don’t be the guy who never buys anything from him and then get all bent out of shape when he won’t prioritize your needs over his regular customers, 5 years down the line.

One way for the kid to learn something new is to teach him... (same as spelling Kubota with a U and not an A) ;):)(y)

This hopefully will get you to the parts area for your Kubota tractor. Kubota BX1850D (4WD TRACTOR WITH ROPS) Parts

Under crankcase, (left hand side) This might be freeze plug but they call it a sealing cap; but double check me...

I don't know if they are still available, but at one time you could buy a "universal" freeze plug with a bolt that tightened the plug in the hole by expanding the plug.

It's probably a reach these days, but most good parts houses had a tray of freeze plugs you could pick from to match your needs.

Did the tractor freeze because of poor anti-freeze or did the plug just drop out?
