Great Power-Trac Experience

I picked up my new 422 in March with attachments(core-aerator,post-hole digger,forks,boom,light material bucket). I only have 55 hours on it and everything performs as expected or better.(havent used the boom yet) I cant express in this forum how much fun it is to use, I love it!!!!!!

Here is the journey , the day after we(fiance) brought it home i noticed fluid leaking out of left real wheel motor(not hoses but the seal) I called Terry at PT and He said check it out see if it is leaking and call him back assuring me i would be taken care of. At 15 hours the right rear wheel motor started leaking, and the original leaky left side started gushing, 10 hours later the left front went crazy.Other than burning holes in the ground from the exhaust(down firing) anytime that you sat still for 30 seconds or so, and the bucking bronco treadle, everything else was perfect.
I called Terry told him i wanted to bring it down and have him fix all these problems, his quick response was see you friday. Everything was replaced and corrected for FREE no hassle at all. POWER-TRAC and Terry are the best!

Great to hear -- and thanks for posting your experience. Sounds like they'll "make it good" if you can get the PT back to them -- which isn't really practical for many people.

I can't talk about my experience with a new PT -- since I bought mine used (250 hours) and spent part of the money saved on PT attachments (minihoe, grapple bucket, LM bucket, QA plate). I've since put 200 hours on it, and my repairs have been a cooling fan failure and the cracked rollover shaft on the lift arms. I'm not complaining about either one, given how I've used the machine...

The point I want to make is that Terry and the PT factory has always supported me very, very well -- even if by buying used, I may have "cost them the sale." Before I ever bought it, I called them and had them give me a "book value" based upon the attachments that came with it, the number of hours on the machine, and the condition I described. Then, Terry's been very supportive on my may questions over the phone. When I ordered the minihoe and grapple bucket, I had a friend stop by and pick them up -- because they were leaving the state, and he wasn't a commercial carrier picking them up, they didn't even charge me sales tax. I got the "internet price", no tax, and no shipping... What a deal!

Bottom line is that they treat me as well as if I'd bought the machine from them, rather than another individual. I have to wonder if my local dealers would've treated me as well if I'd bought out of state, at a box store, or from an individual...

My guess is probably not....

It must be nice living in reasonable driving distance of power trac.

I attached a 90 degree attachemnt on the exhaust pipe to angle the exhaust backwards after I noticed brown spots from my lawn getting burnt... next mod I will make will be to replace the whole muffler arrangement with something sensible.

My PT was bought used, but I have had full "support" from Terry and PT from day one. I am not sure whether this is common with everyone else, but Terry gave me his home number and said call on the weekends if I had any problem that could not wait.

While it sucks for me cause I am 3000 miles away, I am still quite happy all in all with my PT...
