I found out this morning that my daughter passed her Bar Exam! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

She was graduated from law school on Mother's Day and took the exam at the first opportunity in July. Words can not describe how happy for her and proud of her I am. She really put in a lot of time and work preparing for this and I'm so relieved that she doesn't have to take it again. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

It's always nice to sit back and say, "Yep that's my daughter".

Congratulations Gary, you have reasons to be proud.

Oh, Great...another **** lawyer. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

All kidding aside... that is a great accomplishment and you are rightfully proud of her! I'm sure that the example you set for her was a large part of her success.

Hey, get busy and get those buttons sewn back on. Those flying buttons that get busted off because of a proud parents puffed up chest can be really dangerous! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Congratulations to your daughter -after all she did the work, right? /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I've always believed that a child's success is directly proportional to the amount of effort expended by the parents. You must be one tired father! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif So congrats to you too. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Our daughter just got a new job - check that - an honest to goodeness, high quality job in line with her education - and we're busting some buttons too!

Good feeling, isn't it? /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I agree with Alan - time for a P A R T E E!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Truer words were never written. She did all the work and deserves all of the credit. I have told that very thing to everyone who has congratulated me, too.

Now she has to find a job in a glutted market in a city with a law school. One step at a time. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Her little brother was just promoted. He's now the 'Finance Manager for the Americas' for his company's cardiac equipment, so he's well on his way.

One working and one qualified to work now. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif I'm a happy Dad. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Congrats to Gary and his daughter /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I know how happy I was to see one of my sons get his degree in Criminal Justice from OSU. It took him 9 years, after taking 4 years off when he got married and "inherited" 4 kids. The poor boy had to work full-time and go to school as well. I give him credit for following through. He is now employed as a Probation Officer and still looking at Law School.
Be proud Dad, very proud. The best gift we can give ours kids is to smile when we see them. The first thing we need to give them is roots, the next thing we need to give them is wings.

My daughter is trying to decide between veterinarian school and architecture school... she's 11! Time flies, don't it, dad? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

KNOW the feeling , my daughter also (about 8 years ago) also graduated law school(ND) and passed the bar on her first try(ny) then moved to AZ and passed that bar on the first try. we would sew our buttons back on but they popped off so far we can't find them /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Please accept our congratualtion for both your daughter and her fine parents.

Congradulations, Bud !!!
All the best to her.......
My daughter just started her 7 year university process to become a dentist so I somewhat know how you folks feel. It's a good feeling as a parent to have children who want to make something of themselves, eh ?? Once again, all the very best.
