Does anybody have a trick to greasing all the fittings on the mid-mount mower on a B7500 (RCK54-75B 54" MMM)? When the mower is mounted under the tractor, some of the fittings seem impossible to grease without removing the mower from under the tractor. For example, the fittings on the PTO knuckles, the fittings located near the centerline of the mower, etc. The owner's manual says to grease these fittings before every use, and considering the PTO and pulley speed and temperature, it seems like that would be a good idea. I noticed a very small amount "liquid grease" near the outside belt pulleys after the first use, and I assume it is the grease liquifying after a few hours of use(?). Anyway, any tricks for greasing while it is still mounted to the tractor?

Set your gauge wheels to the lowest setting to give you more room and lower the deck. A flexible hose on your grease gun is a must. The driveline fittings may be the hardest to get to. You can always take the driveline off the mid PTO shaft and then spin the blades until you can get your grease gun onto the zerks. Be sure to fully seat the driveline onto the PTO shaft when you are finished. Hope this helps.

I'll give it a shot. Incidentally, my manual references greasing the front anti-scalp roller, the one in the middle front of the mower. Mine doesn't have a grease fitting on it-- it looks like the best you could do would be to try and squirt chain lube or something similar between the roller and the steel rod that runs through it. Any ideas?

As equipman said - a flexable hose on your gun is a must. I crawl up under and get every fitting. Remove the pin that holds the antiscalp rollers axle, remove the axle and grease it. It's a pain, that's why mine dosen't get greased often.

The flexible hose is a must and if you have a compressor get a grease gun that uses air....what a difference! It is also great for FEL greasing as well.
It is easier to clean excess grease than replace bearings!

Does yours have that hollow steel pin instead of a locking pin? I was looking at that pin-- it looks like it will just pop out if you tap it with a hammer. What holds it in then-- is it just tapered on one end?
