Grease fittings on LS G3033H

Was having "fun" trying to remove the grease gun coupler from the fitting on my G3033H, but see that it uses ZERK fittings. I see from earlier posts that some are recommending the LockNLube coupler, so I will get that. Two questions that I have:
1. Recommendations on a grease gun (not wanting to spend the money on a cordless version).
2. What sized ZERK fitting is on the front end loader? I want to have some spares and would like to get some ordered.

For zerk fittings I bought a metric assorted pack from harbor freight or tractor supply. And then just restock the ones I use most. Between backhoe and loader I use several sizes.

As for grease gun, I invested in the dewalt battery operated gun and lock lube fitting. Many happy returns.

I've only had to replace one zerk on my tractor so far and it used a 1/8in NPT fitting

I cannot imagine LS using different size grease fittings for all their tractors, but maybe. I would suggest getting something like an assortment pack such as this:

I find that different implements use different sizes and angles. I got this assortment pack and its good.

As far as the lock n lube, I use the longer one, the XL, just to make life a bit easier. But the short one works well too. I dont have a cordless DeWalt one yet, only because of the price. But after greasing my backhoe, I start cursing my manual one. I will likley get the DeWalt before too long. In the meantime, this is the manual one I use (or one like it):

Avenger, I appreciate the detailed information and examples of what you are using. I went and ordered the fittings kit and the LockNLube. I see that the grease gun that you have is no longer available, but will find something similar. Info definitely helped!
