After spending a lot of very enjoyable seat time in my 4400 this past week, I decided to sit inside of a cab tractor at the local dealer and check it out. The cab seems very cool, but I noticed there was no zerk fittings on any of the front end tie rods? Am I missing something here? I also wasn't sure how excited I was about the one peice hood, it just does not look real robust, and you had to screw around looking for that rod to hold the hood up while your other hand held the hood up.

I bleed green, but just wonder what any of you all thought who may have bought the 3X20 series and had 4x00 before.

Yep, the cab is cool in the summer, warm in the winter, :D
Seriously though, in the world of cab tractors, no other cab even compares.

I thought the same thing when I got mine, but your right...no zerks...Sealed & Lubed for life....I'd rather have zerks too, but what can you do?

Sounds like your just not familiar with it...it was akward the first time I used it but its natual now. Its like the first time you pop the hood of a new car..you fumble all along the hood edge looking for the release but in no time you can pop the hood in total darkness..

I dont bleed green...I'm an equal oppotunity tractor lover :) ....that being said, I bought my 3520 Cab because it had a Turbo Diesel, and the Best/Nicest cab in the industry.

No zerks anywhere on the tie-rods of the JD110TLB, either. Good and bad, there; I'm sure.

Enjoy that cab - if you make the move..

IMO way better than the MF hood panels - held on by little clips - Which break.

That is intersting, and that is a real commercial machine. Guess we don't grease the tie rods on our cars too often, and they seem to go 100k before they get loose now.

I am pretty sure my 110 TLB has zerks on the tie rod ends, but they should only be lubed every 50 hours, not every 8-10 like the rest of the machine.

I think mine might be a year or two older than AKfish's.

Not sure if Deere may have changed at some point for both the 3000 series and the 110TLB, but I know in my manual it definitely shows pictures of zerks on the steering components but my 3520 are all sealed units. I was scratching my head the first time I did service on it.
