Gravely ZT: differences between XL and HD

Going to be replacing my old simplicity mower this spring and I am looking at gravely zero turn. I am looking at the ZT series and I do know I want to step to the XL at least because of the differences in the mowing deck. But it seems the only difference between the XL and the HD is the drives which increases the top speed, but there is about $1000 difference in price. Is it worth it?

Also I am looking at the 48" or 54" deck

The HD also has a larger chassis, dual fuel tanks, larger tires and although both decks are fabricated 10ga decks, the HD is deeper allowing higher mower speed. I work at a dealership and after working on a variety of Zero Turns, actually own an HD60. Any other questions let me know.
