To continue on the thread of several weeks ago.... I went to www.roadboss.com and it looked really cool. Since I got nothing searching for a dealer in NC I called them. Talked to Don Krauss who used to be the owner, now is sales mgr. for Terrabond who bought him out. They are an "Organic sealants and binders" company who apparently liked Mr. Krauss's product for preparing surfaces for their products.

If you look at the models on the roadboss website, the "US" models are straight bladed and designed for leveling dirt, etc. while the "U" models have angled blades for digging into gravel and crowning. The 6' is $2160 and weighs about 900lbs. The 5' is $1800 and I forgot to ask the weight. I don't have a tractor yet but am dreaming of a B2910 (30hp). Don said the forest services pulls the 6 footers with 28hp tractors w/o any problems.

He's going to try and find someone in the my area to set up a demo. I'll keep you 'posted'. (just had to do that one) /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

If he does set up something, and it's anywhere near north-eastern or north-central NC, let me know, if you don't mind. I'm in eastern VA and would like to see it, too.

Just got off the phone with another gentleman from Terrabond who will try to find someone to demo it. Gotta say that they're responsive. Worst case is I'll have to settle for the video he's sending. You can also check out http://www.terrabond.net (not .com) which has less info but much better pics.

Mark, maybe with 2 they'll go an extra mile (literally). Any other takers around here?

I've seen the video and it's pretty slick, but for that kind of money, I've got to see the real thing in action. In particular, I want to see it "recycle" gravel.

I gave you a chance a my hokie grader a couple months ago Mark but now its to late some nice man bought it from me along with a few other custom items.
Guess I should have given it a fancy name like the pothole tamer or something like that oh well Ive got a welder and I'm not afraid to use it. Or better yet the pothole king yea thats it.
This winter I'm going to work on a version of the brush brute it reminds me of a sickle bar without the sickle. Remember getting them clogged up its about the same principle.

Gordon, I remember your post, but I didn't realize you were getting rid of those things.

Alright, 'splain yourself. What do the 'pothole king' and 'brush brute' look like?

Mark I didn't actually realize I was going to sell them but the man offered me much more than I thought they were worth so what else could I do.
The brush brute I have not made yet but its like a sickle bar grabs the small brush and yanks it out by the roots when the bar gets full back up and drag to clean the brush out of the v's. Pretty simple and simple works best for me.
The grader I made was a large one and I used this when I had the long driveway. The drive now is only 300 feet so a box, rake or whatever is on the tractor works fine. Search for Gordons hokie grader and its there we talked about it last month under gravel driveway up keep or something like that.

Gordon - That 'brush brute' sounds interesting. Have you seen one before or is this your own idea? I'm just wondering how well it would work. I have a lot of use for something like that if it works pretty well.

I saw one and the price was about $1500. it mounted to the bucket mounts of the front end loader. But the price----- although looked very well built but my pockets are just not deep enough right now.

Do you have any other info on it, or a web site? I'd like to see one, or at least a picture of one.
