Gravel removal from lawn

Well, it's that time of year again and I've been seeing a bunch of threads on how to get the gravel out of the lawn. Lot's of good ideas have been thrown out (along with some really bad ones), but few actually hit upon the solution: Power Broom. The power broom works so well, that I don't know why anybody tries a different solution. Attached are some pics of a small area that I cleaned up this past weekend. The stones in the picture are some massive 3" traffic bond rocks. I looked at my photo time stamps. From the first photo to the last one was... 3 minutes! I've always wanted to buy a power broom, but they're over $500 new and I can rent on for 4 hours for $35. If I had one complaint, it's that the broom does get heavy.

As someone who done spring clean ups on gravel drives for 45 years-my parents had one and now I have mine, plus still taking care of Mother's-the power broom is a Godsend! They sure do get heavy, but not having to rake all that spoil is a pleasure!

I just cleaned out the garage with the Stihl BR-600 blower,,

Including a few pieces of gravel,, it moved an adjustable 12" wrench,, and a snow shovel.

Shouldn't the blower move the gravel off a lawn??

I use a leaf blower on my lawn and it does a great job on all sizes of gravel. Puts it right back in the driveway and leaves a nice clean edge. While I'm not going to buy a power broom, it is worth taking a look at. It does look pretty amazing in Cord's photos.

I got one of those power brooms for my Echo PAS and absolutely love it. I got mine special order from H.D. since the stores don't carry them. I got the power head, string trimmer, brush cutter, tiller and broom for probably just a bit over 500. It's been a great tool that I use pretty much year round now.

Looks like someone had the same trouble I been having for years.
Tired of raking 700' down one side and 700' back up the other side. I broke down and bought a echo pas 280 with power broom and other attachments.
I wanted a real 2 stroke and not any 4mix crap like some sell for more. So that had alot to do with my selection. Plus a great dealer.

I did update to the handle brace for $5 later as it has so much grunt it was pushing me back. Now I can use my leg to help hold.

Hey, I just bought one from Stihl, a tad expensive though. What I notice was it was extremely hard pushing unit forward, so loosened torx bolts on end and turned rubber unit over 180 degrees. Now all I do is put unit out into grass and walk backwards and using weight of machine to do the work instead of pushing. Pulling and walking backwards is so much easier it's incredible.
