Grasshopper price check

Received a quote on a 721DT (Kubota 21 hp diesel) for 12,500 and a 729BT for 11k (29 hp Vanguard).

Price seem decent to those familiar with the mower? Not many grasshopper dealers in the area and was wondering.

I've heard and read nothing but great things about the Grasshopper brand, but wondering why both mowers come in under a grand in weight when a Scag and Gravely come in around 1,300 lbs?

the compact tractor guide I'm looking at covers used machines and shows a high -low price on the 721DT 2009 model at $12,799 high and $9,585 low.It sold new for $13,850 w/a 72" deck.The weight is listed at 1,294 lbs. It does'nt list the other model prob. because it must be newer than the book.I have a 928D w/front mount 62"deck. To me a diesel trumphs a gas hands down...russ
