Buying a NX4510H in October. If I want to add a grapple later do I need any extra fittings to operate it other than the stock ones?

You will need an extra set of rear remotes or a joystick mounted kit that redirects your curl cylinder hydraulics.

Yes a third Function Valve.

This custom kit by WR Long is the most popular, well received kit on the market and it's used by many Kioti, LS, Mahindra and Kubota dealers.

Check out the price, video with Ted and 180 customer reviews here on our website: Custom True 3rd Function Valve Kit for tractors

Take $50 off if you order with a Wicked Grapple, our lift capacity maximizing, highly functional work of art!!

Ultra Strong 400 Pound Wicked 60 would be beautiful on the NX Series!

350 pound 54" Single Lid Wicked Grapple also gets it done! Lightweight, yet plenty strong.

I had the dealer instal my 3rd function kit(WR Long) and grapple(Land Pride SGC 1560). 3rd function kit + instal = $1195. Grapple + instal = $3195.

I chose the 1560 because it is massively heavy duty - 820# - and my tractor still can lift 3200# with this grapple attached. It is considered a rock & root grapple.View attachment 569131View attachment 569132 The other thing you should consider - since you are getting a grapple. Enhancement to your existing OEM brush guard. This is what a little expanded metal provided on my OEM brush guard.

Thanks for the responses. It will have to wait until next year or so due to the cost.

Believe me Randy - I hemmed/hawed/hummed and procrastinated for three years before spending the money. So far I've had it four years - not a moments problems - I've yet to take if off for the first time. Its even a lot more universally useful than my bucket.

Costs - in all likelihood any 3rd function you get will be about the same cost as mine. I would strongly recommend the WR Long unit and if you order a grapple from the dealer also - you likely can work out a package deal on purchase & instal. Its also very likely that whatever grapple you choose will cost less than mine. Land Pride has reduced the cost of theirs and you most likely do not need as heavy duty a unit as I got. Newer designs are allowing grapples to be lighter and stronger.

There is a implement manufacturer about 70 miles north of me - ANBO, Colville, WA - that makes excellent grapples. I considered getting an ANBO but the dealer gave me a good package price on the one I have.

If you decide you need/want a VERY SPECIFIC type/design grapple - ANBO is the place to go. They can/will modify any of their grapples in most any fashion you need/want - within the limits of good sound engineering. I've visited them several times - I've seen a couple grapples they made - one weighed 8900# - big enough to grab and lift the entire left side of the earth. It must have been a monster of a loader that was capable of handling a 8900# grapple. The steel on this grapple was 1 1/2" thick. It would surely test the limits of the steel weight blocks on the back of any loader.

This has been discussed many times. Recommend you do some key-word searches on this site and Google. You might start at this thread.

Hey that's my NX5010 in the EA picture above :) Had the dealer install the 3rd function valve and included it in the package with the tractor ~ $1000 or so. Picked up the 54" wicked grapple from EA and the rest is history. It is hands down my most used attachment. A +20" in diameter tree fell on my fence line and yesterday I cut it up in 3 8 to 12 foot segments and hauled it off to my burn pile. It was a heavy rascal but the grapple prevailed. Had the tree cleaned up and 5 strands of barb wire repaired in about 2 1/2 hours time.

I'm running my grapple from rear remotes. I've got a double detent valve (I think that's what it's called) which allows me to just pop the lever to actuate (in the case of my grapple, to open or close); allows me to free up my right hand quicker to adjust the loader angle etc. (don't have to keep my hand on the actuating lever). Downside is that you have to make sure to return the lever into the neutral position: you'll hear the pump dead-head (or note the grapple's cylinder(s) has traveled as far as it can.

My "standard" EA grapple has been able to handle as much as my tractor can handle. I doubt I could do much better than this:
