I'm ordering a 48" grapple this week, and I'm trying to figure out how to plumb it. I used an air hose to measure the run to the cross bar at the end of the loader, and I came up with 16'. Seems to me, someone on the LS forum mentioned a run of 14'. Could be wrong. Guess too long is better than too short!

I believe the couplers on the remotes are 1/2", and the couplers on the loader are 3/8", is this correct? I was planning on having 3/8" hose made up. I guess I need to find out just what size line are on the grapple first, then go from there. The grapple normally ships with flat face couplers, but I'll omit those, if they'll give me credit for them.

Any tips?

You could even go 1/4 in hose on the grapple as it will be fast anyway.

They should give you credit for the couplers, but check anyway.

When I built mu grapple I can't remember what length I had mine made up to but they were a bit long so I have an extra loop in the back. I did use 1/2" hose to run from the rear to the front though. My logic ( supported by the hydraulic shop guys)was I wanted to make sure I had enough flow volume for any possible future use of the front couplings. i.e. maybe a hydraulic snow blower. I am no hydraulic genius just relating how I did it. Good luck.
