I am looking to see if anyone can offer any advise on getting a grapple I need to have a grapple in my hands in this coming week. I spoke with Titan and they said they could have their 72" grapple here by next Friday 3/28. I was also looking around and saw a Prowler grapple on ebay that would be here next week also. Does anyone own or has anyone ever heard of the prowler grapple? I really cannot find any reviews of them anywhere. I am concerned that the weight of the grapple will be too much for a future tractor (700lbs for the 72" Titan grapple). I will currently be using it on a skid steer so the weight initially will not be an issue but I will be getting a compact tractor soon and will want to use it on there as well. Any suggestions on any other grapples out there that are readily available? I looked into Everything Attachments Wicked grapple but they told me it would be 3 weeks before I could get one from them. WR Long seems to be good too but the Titan is $1,000 cheaper, although it is 180 lbs lighter. Any input is appreciated!

Might depend on where you live and how you want it delivered, direct to your door, or somewhere with a loading dock. Also do you need a 72"? Smaller will be lighter. My 60" Titan double lid is in the back of my truck right now. I ordered earlier on Thursday, and UPS tracking said would be delivered late afternoon on Friday, next day! Didn't happen, as was delivered Tuesday morning, still not bad for free shipping. Both my sons are machinist, and looking at the grapple, say it seems to be well made, good welds etc. Will try it out this weekend.

It would help you to get good advise, if you fill in your location.

Since you will be using a skid steer, go to any skid steer dealer and rent a grapple for a week or a month.

I updated my profile so hopefully that helps. Thanks for the feedback on that. I did look into renting one but if I rented it for 2 months I could have bought one and with my construction business I think it would come in handy.

I have been to Wards equipment and talked to them. I assume that is who is selling the grapple on Ebay. I don't think they make anything at Wards. I know their main line is CID attachments. I would take a guess that they are getting the Prowlers from CID and having them privately labeled.
I bought a CID pallet fork attachment from them and it is very nice. The entire thing is USA made including the forks

I could be wrong about my information. Just call Wards and ask them if Prowlers are CID. CID has a decent website to look at.

I just looked at the Prowler Pallet forks on Ebay and it is a mirror image of my CID.

Call all the close tractor dealers, skid steer dealers and equipment rental places and ask if the have a rental grapple that they would sell.

Some of the rental companies have Websites with used equipment for sale.

too bad you didn't post this last week ritchie brothers in north east just had an auction. probably 50 or so grapples went through. most were 700ish the grapple rakes were 1200+. versatech and wildkats seem to be most grapples. they have another auction 6/3 if you can wait and rent one until then?
