About to order a grapple bucket for my Case 1840 for moving brush and downed trees. Wanted to build one but I知 short on time and deep in projects. Was looking at the Titan 60? Looked pretty well build with 1/2 steel. Saw some bad reviews online but wasn稚 sure if that was from abuse and they didn稚 look the same as the one I知 looking at. What痴 your opinions? I壇 like to not spend more than $1500 if possible. B7CBD5CF-79DC-4E1D-8B90-2C8BBF7DA55A.png42563FD6-5FE1-4E75-82B7-59415BC54E5A.png

After spending the morning stumbling though Privit, Honey suckle, saplings and Cedar trimmings trying to cut out some brush... and keep moving back into it... I'm ready to admit I need a grapple.

Case 1840 is a 50hp skid steer with about 1300 ROC, right? So, one thing to consider is weight. I didn't see it on the specs you posted, but on the titan attachments site, it listed it as being close to 650#. Also, opening is only 34 inches. Other than those concerns, it looks like a good strong grapple.

For complarisson, the EA wicked grapple uses 3/8th instead of 1/2 inch, so it is only ~350# and opens to 37 inches. (It is~$200 over your $1500 budget though - was just posting for reference).

I don't own either one... I'm shopping myself. Most frustrating thing for me is that the web sites don't list prices, so you have to contact them.

Best of luck to you.

Any one seen one of these used?

I can see some obvious issues and drawbacks but I don't think a deal killer. With a set of Piranha tooth bars this could be a light brush cleaning set up for my little Kioti on my 9 acres. I have a 60" bucket. Not ideal as a grapple but looks like it could make a useful single bucket implement for me.

Add A Grapple

BXpanded Piranha Toothbar

this combination looks very versatile if one didn't need to do serious work and just was doing large property maintenance.

I can’t remember what my lifting weight is but 1300 seems low. I was lifting about 1500lbs of shingles at a time with my forks up to my roof few weeks ago and was doing fine. Didn’t want to go much more though. I looked at the wicked grapple and saw a lot listed for compact tractors and one for a mini skidsteer but non for a normal skidsteer. Thought maybe they didn’t have them
