Here are a couple of pictures of my Grandfathers old Logging mill that my Dad and Uncles worked in .
First is a side photo from outside looking at old cable cat they used for skidding and the set of wheels they had behind cat to lift the ends . ( I still have that set of wheels , actually the entire set-up except for the cat ) . Pardon the poor scan , actually the pictures are so old , I really had to work just to get these .

This next photo is inside the mill looking out with saw on the left .

We are still finding old photo's like this , so may update ?? The set of wheels , I am going to mount on a piece of rail iron that will be cemented into the ground vertically . Then am going to cut one of the old 1" chokers down so that I can weld to the rail iron , run it back and up over the roller , then down to a 6' or so length of oak with the choker set on it .
