Anyone have any complaints or " wished I had" on the 3240. Or anything that is a must have to add when ordering a new one? I will be using for standard bush hogging, box blading, a grapple, so I'm having the third remote added... Anything else?

More remotes.... for Hydraulic top and tilt (TnT) very nice for a box blade.

I just traded a 3240 in for a 5740. The 3240 just wasn't large enough. Mine had a WR Long third function kit, rear remote, and canopy. The one thing I would have changed would have been to have bought the larger loader. The standard loader would creak and groan with a load on the my grapple.

I assume if you're getting a grapple, your also getting the QA loader.

At least 2 rear remotes. If you have not got the box blade yet, look at one with hydraulic scarfifer teeth. Hydraulic top link, but I would look aftermarkert. I have no need for tilt (as of now). Ask them to throw in filters for the 50 hour service for free. Free gear (hats). 10% discount when you come back and buy your SUDT2. Free bottle of orange touch up paint. Philip.

Yes, if I do buy it it will be a QA. Is there a specific bucket you would get? What were you loading that 1800lbs wasn't enough? Is the skid steer ratings different than a tractor rating? So confused

Teg,
Is it better to get top and tilt on the machine or a hyd. Box blade that does that function instead??

Spine, your quick attach is in essence the same as a skidsteer coupler, you will be able to buy and use most any skid steer atachment. If you go with the 724 loader it will come with a 72 inch squareback qa bucket. The top and tilt is always on the machine, all it does is replace your top link and sidelink screw adjusters with hydraulic cylinders. You can quickly make adjustments from the cab. I have one remote and just a hydrualick top link

The hydraulic box blades are nice but you will pay extra for them. I think the biggest thing I would look at is if you can spend the extra funds to go up to the 3540. I think the extra hp will come in nice with a brush hog. Some, not all, have said that the only negative about the 3240 is it's at the low end of the hp range for the size of the tractor, they still could do everything they wanted but usually had to slow down or use a lower gear.

I think if I was to go larger I would jump all the way to a 4240, but I started with looking at the b3000. Just seems too small, even though I think it would do all that I need. From a 3240 to a 4240 it's 5k to jump up in size, but other than 3hp, jumping from the 3240 to a 3540, I just don't see that it offers any other advantage. And from someone coming from a Honda 500 to remove snow with a manual snowplow, to a grand L3240 cab I'll just have to push it to it's limits. I still don't understand the correlation of loader lift with a skid steer versus a tractor. For the last couple of months I've been using a 57hp skid steer with lift capacity of 1500lbs, and if I go to the 3240 it will have 1800lbs of lift. So shouldn't they be about the same?
