GRAND L HST + TRANSMISSION.

Two years ago i purchased a 40 series with hst plus. I honestly dont take advantage of everything this tranny is capable of, as i dont often have the need. It is nice however, to have the capability when you need it. Last week i had to move some equipment @ my shop. I had to move approximately 15 cubic yards of snow to get to the equipment. This pile of snow (70 cubic yards) has been accumulating for the past 6 weeks & has become as much ice as it is snow. It was a hard pile to break into and i really had to rev up the tractor to move it. The hst + allowed me to drop into low to break in, curl up and pull out, as soon as i was out i would upshift into high with the flip of a lever as i was moving the snow a couple hundred feet. This tranny may be expensive,but its reliable,powerful and very versatile!

Had the HST+ on my L3240HST. It's one of those things that is there and you don't think much about it until you start using its different features. Use them or not, they are still there for you.

I've not heard anything negative about the HST+. It's certain to be on my next tractor. Kinda makes ya wanna go out and move stuff huh Lawnking!!!

Its nice to have all those options, If im core aerating big open acreage i can set the auto hds to shift itself while i make a few phone calls. If i need to move some material fast or load a truck fast, i engage the auto throttle. The hst+ is worth the money if you perform a broad spectrum of tasks with your machine. If you mainly plow fields, perhaps gear is better suited for you.
