I couldn't wait with St Pats day this weekend and maybe rain Thursday I wanted to not get held back by rain. St Pats thats when we usually try to get taters and onions in around this area anyway.
I hooked the tractor up last nite after work and tilled and furrowed. I disced it last week real good. I went and put 13-13-13 down the rows and then tilled that in with the walk behind and I will get the water well up and running tonite and water the fert into rows good.
Little Craftsman 900 fired on the first pull 3rd year in a row I love that thing best walk behind ever!
Hoping the weeds dont get to big a head start on me before I can get plants up and running so I can Treflan the whole garden. Its record highs right now I fear we still have a hard freeze possible but time will tell...
I run an Earthway seeder down the inside of the furrows twords the outside edge when I plant corn, onions get set on top and taters lay in the bottom and get covered. All corn is flood irrigated with timers and some plants done by hand like tomatoes etc.
