got new branson 3820

Finally took the plunge and bought a branson 3820 a couple of weeks ago with a fel and a 7 shank all purpose plow.I have put 6 hours on it and have enjoyed every minute of it..After 5 years of operating a 1952 to-30 ferguson , I feel like i went from a yugo to a cadillac.I am in the process of plowing 6 acres that had been logged ,to plant melons,corn, and various foodplants.I've got my work cut out for me.I also am moving loads of dirt that were left over from the farm pond.It was great using the fel for the first time.Even though the weather has not cooperated with my off days, I probably need the break not to burn myself out.Unfortunately the mini farm in 42 miles from my house so I dont get to see the tractor but a couple times a week.I'am thinking of getting teeth on the ansung FEL to help me dig my dirt piles a little easier.I thought I would try markham welding for the tooth bar or any other recommendations.I probably will get some fluid in the tires in the future.I learned a lot from the TBN site,especially how important the service end aspect of buying a tractor is.The dealer lives within 5 miles of the property and the branson factory is in the same city.I was stuck on the big 3 but decided to try the branson due to the posts on TBN.Thanks rob

I dont think you'll be dissapointed..these machines appear to have very few issues. Go check out some of the higher priced boards and hear their woe$.

I'm not saying these are trouble free however I do firmly beleive these machines are the best bang for the buck. The quality of manufacturing appeared to be very high, thats what sold me after checking out the chinese lines, maybe equivalent to some of the blue and /or green tractors.

Yes get the tires filled, it will make a big difference in traction as well as acting as a counterbalnce when you get that powerful loader filled to capacity. Toothbar is somethingI insisted on due to my rocky soil. If you want to save some $$ try the loader without it..it'll still do a nice job.

thanks for the encouragement.I plan to keep the tractor till it dies or me.maybe all issues will be resolved within the 3 year warranty range.The dealer said that branson makes the 65 horsepower engine for the john deere.So far it feels pretty stout.I plan to test it out a little more if weather permits saturday.Hopefully with routine maintainance, it will serve me well.I too felt one gets more bang for the buck. thanks rob

I check this place everyday! but hardly ever notice that little

Anyway, white smoke...... mine was far from normal!
Most diesels will throw some for a few seconds.
Dealer had wrenched on my fuel system so much that
I was fed up with it!
Come to find out the ex glow timer cured it...?
This was after they replaced the whole tractor, up to a 4720.
I could have gotten another 3820 4020 or my cash back,
I choose the 4720 and I'm happy!
All 3 seem to be a big bang for the buck, I just had a tid bit
of bad luck with my 3820.
Break-in, it's new dont baby it to much and dont beat the pi$$ out of it.
My way is heat it up then cool down, I will run the rpm's up
for a very short time.

thanks for imfo.I plowed a few hours with it yesterday and am not going over 2500 rpms and it does well.finally am getting use to the diesel smell after the past 5 years with the 1952 ferguson.
