My Dk45S was delivered this a.m. I already put in 7 hrs in the seat. Man I love this thing. Got my garden tilling done, horse poo all mixed in, dirt work done, driveway graded. My 11 year old loves it too.:D:thumbsup:

Wow, you spent almost as much time behind the wheel as I did! got home about an hour ago. It was great to meet you and hope you have many productive, enjoyable and safe hours on your new Tool for Outdoor Yardwork (aka T.O.Y.).

Thanks Chip, great to meet you too. Had a blast, unlike my tractors of old. I look forward to many more hours this weekend. Since when do we look forward to work? Toys make it fun.

tule... you'll love it. Looks kinda naked though - no cab. Had mine for 1.5 years, almost 500 hours and no major problems.

cheers.

You'll wish you had gone with the cab.

Yeh, had a cab on the ole oliver, but heh, all I wear for a coat in the winter is a flannel shirt-no matter the amount of snow or how cold. If on an open tractor I guess I'll have to squeeze into those insulated bibs.:) BTW, I got in another 2hrs of seat time plowing for sweet corn patch.( I was using my single bottom plow):D. Love the tractor, tomorrow I got to round up the hooks and stuff for the bucket.

Well, the cab may be nice in the snow, but for me it keeps away the mosquitoes, the horse flies and the summer swelter. My place is on the Chesapeake and is a real swamp for much of the time.

I was going back and forth as to whether I could justify the cab( to the wife), didn't quite get it done. I WILL do it on the next NEW one though!:D

When I got my 45 back in 2006 I had to decide between a backhoe and a cab. My wife encouraged me to get the cab and now I'm glad I did.
You will enjoy your tractor if it has a cab or not, they are a nice sized tractor for doing a lot of on the farm chores. Just recently I used mine for spraying, loading some water barrels with the forks, and this coming week will pull a cultipacker with it. Then the grapple and toothbar will be put back on and I will do some brush clearing, all in all a very versatile machine.

I will really miss the cab when it starts raining when I'm out working, unless of course, I need a shower.

Yup, the backhoe is a "sitzaround" but the cab is priceless.
