Had to be one of the longest flooring projects in the history of man.
Per another thread of mine asking about flooring, my wife liked the stranded bamboo she saw, and that is what we went with.
Couple things...
1. Wife is happy, she likes the way the floor looks.
2. I am happy that the wife is happy
3. I will say this, and I can say this with some experience now, DO NOT, NEVER EVER EVER get bamboo flooring for your home unless you want a headache.
The wood is VERY hard. The wood can chip easy. The wood can scratch easy if something falls on it. If lumber liquidators gives you some wood polish for some scratches you may incur, throw the crap away. Currently, what works best on our color of flooring is a black marker on the spot, then rub lightly.
Some people say Bamboo is envriomental friendly. Personally didn't give a ratts butt, however, as mentioned, the wife liked it when she see saw it.
My wife did mention that for some upcoming rooms down the road, she will stay away from bamboo (yet another reason why I love her
)
Still have some small finishing touches, but the back breaking work is done.
The guy in the pic was a friend of mine, the brains of the operation. Although he likes the way the floor looks as well, he agrees, if I go with Bamboo again, I'm on my own (he's never seen it prior as well).
