Got me a new toy, photo included !

Take a good look, it's probably the last new toy I'm gonna get for a long time. I've only had it for three days and the wife is already complaining that its all I talk about, think about, and spend my time with.

Is there any way to get them to understand the things that we love ?

See that shiny stuff? I added that just today. For some reason, it made the wife pretty ornery. I thought it was real pretty.

I was just thinking.... Fish are attracted by shiny objects and birds are repelled by shiny objects. ? ?

Looks good to me. I have a '99 and love it. Haven't had any major problems with it. Replaced the 4wd switch and the u-joints in it. A grand total of about $75 in 77k miles. Oh, darn forgot I just replaced the tires and had the alignment checked a couple of weeks ago. That was about $450. Got a good deal as Dad works at the tire shop.

I know what you mean about it being awhile before you get a new toy. I would love to get a new truck w/ the Duramax and a Trailblazer EXT, but it won't be for a awhile yet. And before I could get either one of those I'll have to be buying a work car as the Honda now has over 161k on it.

PS love the color that is how I wanted mine, but you can't get 2 toned with the LT so I had to settle for plain black.

You're going to have to slow down now Jerry. I've had two blue pickemups and I found out one thing. They kill birds.

I don't know why, might because I'm usually doing ten plus over and the birds assume people driving blue are law abiding, unlike those driving red. But I'd put me driving blue at ten to twenty times deadlier for our feathered friends than me driving red.

I don't know about fish. Imagine they're a depressive sort, blue world they live in you understand. Might explain their being attractive to shine.

Of course crows are attracted to shine......hmmmmmmmm.

Thanks Mike, I like the color scheme too. The truck did'nt come with any sort of wheel flares and it really seemed to need something in that area. So, I added the chrome/stainless wheel flare trim. It cost $116, but I think it really makes a difference. I've attached the 'before and after picture.'

Also, I did'nt pick the color scheme. It was a GM company vehicle for 3 months before I got. I requested one and that's what I got. The sticker said $34,000 and I paid $22,500 with 3,000 miles on it.
