Received my TC45 yesterday. 1.6 hrs so far and I think I made a good choice. Got a 6ft Woods finishing mower and a 6ft Bushog 286 brush cutter. Will have a FEL installed in a couple of months.
Went out this morning to pull up some old fence post with the boom pole and chain, but had to stop and work on old blue. The parking brake would not stay engaged. Looked like the teeth were too close together on the bottom side of the lever. I pulled out my trusty grinder and disposed of one tooth and now I'm back in business. Kinda concerns me though. You would expect the simple things to function properly on a new tractor.
I've heard of the parking brake problem sporadically in other posts. I've only had a "problem" with mine once, but it turned out to be mud in the mechanism for me. Otherwise, mine has worked perfectly. I agree with you that this "simple" thing should work well. After all, safety is the issue here.
How does your TC45 handle the 286BH Cutter. Mine is very hard to raise off the ground when adjusted correctly. It appears that the pins need to be lowered on the frame so the tractor will lift it higher. My tail wheel barely clears the ground in full lift, and bumps the ground while traveling.
