Here is the first picture showing the size of the tree that was surrounded by the Hosta that I received. These are/were twin trees planted on a front lawn many years ago. The owner has declined any offers of help in removing the stump and intends to dig it out by hand. He is using a small garden trowel to remove the dirt and a saw or brush cutter to cut the roots as they are exposed. I will be chronicling his progress almost daily till it is finished.

picture 2 of the stump. He has been working on this for 3 days now. I don't know how much time he has put into it, but it seems that every night after he comes home, he puts in his time....

I think the picture in your first post is not what you were hoping for. Either that or I don't understand what you mean by stump?? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Just another senior moment in time. I clicked on the wrong picture. That one was for another post. This was one of the few times that I didn't check to make sure that what I posted is what I wanted. Thanks for showing me the error...... /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Consider yourself lucky you have something to blame it on. Inadvertant clicks are a matter of course for me and I have no excuse other than genentics. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif Made for good guessing time anyway, got to try and figure out what it was. Never did, but now hopefully someday I will see it in the other post and after asking myself, why that picture looks familiar, I will hopefully remember. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

No no, don't tell me and everyone else, let's keep it a surprise. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I left half behind because I didn't have any more room in the trunk for it. Next year the other tree is coming down and I will be getting all that Hosta also. His yard is full of it in front and back. He claims that it spreads like a weed.. I would like to learn about some other varieties.
