It is just a cheap 10' x 20' shelter I picked up at Northern Tool. We have not been able to sell our house so not moving to the land anytime soon. Hopefully this will last a for a year or so until we get out there or I get a shop built.

I got it up high enough so I don't have to lower the ROPS. 20' long is plenty of length to have everything under the tarp. I know it will still get wet when the wind is blowing but this is better than nothing.

Has anyone bought the enclosure kit for this shelter? I would like to get it but am afraid it will make it too easy to blow over.

That looks ok, if you don't want to spend too much $ buy some cheap tarps and ty wrap them to your existing roof tarp.

If the enclosure kit seals off all 4 sides completely, the possibility of wind damage increases. Have you considered buying a cheap tarp to cover the equipment and lash the tarp down? You previously stated that it would be temporary. Is the enclosure kit expensive? The final decision is yours. I am just trying to offer a different method by suggesting the tarp since it is only to be use for a short time. Good luck in regards to this project and the real estate selling.:)

If you do close it up, think about leaving some open areas, like the triangular areas under the ridge on the front & back so it doesn't trap moisture. Moist air is less dense than dry air, so an opening or two up high would help keep your baby dry.

They will collapse if you don't clean the snow and ice off of them.

Mine lasted about five years. All closed in.

That's similar to the one I installed last summer. How much did you pay? I didn't pay much even with installing the longer poles into the ground with concrete. The wind may rip the tarp but the poles ain't going anywhere. I expect to use this setup for years to come, just replacing the tarp every now and then.

I got the the whole kit on sale for $100. I think I spent about another $50 on the blocks and the concrete to fill them up for weight. Also set some bolts in them for the base and to tie off to.

The enclosure kit sells for another $100 I think. I can probably get another $20 off if I wait for a sale.

Ours was out in the open and blew down the first year. With wind breaks, it should be OK though.

I also use the tent to store my tractor I have the sides and like um. I have had mine for at least six years.
Had to replace the roof tarp once, stupid limb. You must remove snow in the winter and that is the only real pain. I use solid cinder blocks to hold the whole thing down. What I did was to get some 1/8 nylon rope and tie it to the top supports at each down leg and attach it to the cinder block. The problem with attaching the plastic feet to the cinder block is that the feet break.
