Calling for a little rain overnight, maybe .1". Did get the tractor to start after charging battery for a few hours. Had to move stone with BH to get tractor out of barn. Hit the shed gutter with the BH, but it needs replaced anyways. Once I was able to squeek out, then I moved the pile over some. A pic from a couple days ago

It's a beautiful morning!
The pump guy is here putting in the new tank (y)

We will be glad to put this episode behind us. Replacing a 4k tank with a 3k tank but plans to repair and put the old tank online for additional storage.

Hey Scott. Have 4 of those 4k tanks for my catchment system. Back in 2006 when I purchased, all 4 for $10k. Heard recently they are $10k each.
Hope you got a good price.

I am guessing you have an adjustable dado to get those dados nice and tight, but along with a good glue you should have no worries ! I have a wide variety of shims in my stackable set that I can accomodate most size nuances in plywood sizing !

Nope, Freud Super Dado stackable set. Many shims, some very thin.

Don and Kyle, you may be getting both of these total solar eclipses? ...Mostly and LS maybe one?

Don't know where you live, two-bit.
I think I'm in the 80-90% area.

Somewhat similar thinking here. We did VRBO vacation rental, but no longer. County keeps changing the rules. Transient tax up to 13%. Shortterm rental redefined as less than 30 days, now, 180 days. Big push for additional licensing which means additional fees. Endgame is to change property tax to deny any homeowner exemptions and new tax category, so we quit shortterm. Still consider the possibility we could lease out main house and use the cottage as a base for travel. Of course this would be after all the furry kids have moved on and a reliable caretaker esconced in the studio to maintain the systems. Tempting, but unlikely to happen.
I would just do Word of mouth to trusted parties....

Good (Thursday) morning. Overnight Low of 5.7C and it's presently 13.4C, overcast with the wind predicted to pick up this arvo for a bit. There was 6.7mm in the gauge @ 0900 and I believe that the rain is over for a while.

A 'motivation' day is called for, now that the rain has stopped.

Due to yesterday's rain I didn't notice if the 'Mad Horse Woman' was able to have her Standardbred's saddle fitted... I suspect not.

That's about it, take care all.
I need some motivation...worn out from on my feet too much at work.
Have long tawdry list of tasks to do here. Most will take many days, and my spare time is only about 1-2 hours per day.

I’m probably pretty close to right about where those two bands intersect. Somewhere in that square or very close.
Two bit might be in the Hill Country.

gosh gosh gosh
TBN won't let me print the current President's name
ok
politics must be driving our owner and moderators nuts.
Remember we have to play well here in our sandbox. Very touchy subject.

What gets measured in the saddle fitting, the horse or the woman?
guffaw laugh. My wifey smiled and said "Probably both"

You are getting charged annually for windows? I’ve not seen that. Sure that’s not office 365 you getting charged for? Which I also refuse to buy . I buy the regular version of office, the home version . I’m sick of the advertising Microsoft puts on the login screen.
Drew, you're probably paying for Office. I refuse to pay. Google sheets/Docs for me at home. Work has everything. I even have a very full suite of Adobe products, which I never have time to use, except .pdf reader.

Popgadget, your double driver speakers remind me of these.

We had a good day at work. Breakfast and Lunch were provided due to an External Advisory Committee meeting. Some old timers in this meeting. Might be all engineers. I heard one guy mention Reed Tool, and I told him my first job out of high school was with them. We talked about this huge AJAX upsetter that used 3 strikes to punch red hot material into oil field pipe ends. I used to watch the burly guys run it. It was amazing to watch. He was part of the team that acquired it.

Some big college football games tomorrow.

I have a stack of RockAuto parts that just arrived, awaiting me to start on the little Toyota Yaris. Clutch replacement, A/C compressor-condenser-expansion valve kit. 2 new headlight assemblies. I believe I will try to tackle the clutch first, because that is the most difficult I believe.

Pretty easy day.

Spent some time on the electrical system. Made sure all the vent areas were clean, unobstructed. No burnt or unusual smells. Upgraded all the firmware to latest releases. No more glitches so far. Still think the problem is in the control unit. Wait and see I guess.

Scag running nicely with its new module installed. Side next to the mounting screw had distorted enough to prevent getting a socket on it reaffirming my thought the module suffered internally.

Nice dip in the pool and relaxing time in the hot tub. Ready to call it a day.

The day is wrapped up for the most part. New water storage tank installed. Bill paid - ouch. Not as bad a somebody above mentioned but $4.5k installed. I found the poly tanks to cost about $1 a gallon + or -. It was fair on the labor as both pressure tanks and the pump had to be removed and relocated. There was plenty of wiring and plumbing to be done.
We have water again!
:):giggle::)
