Drinking first cup of coffee. 21° with scattered clouds. Heading to 45° with mix of sun and clouds. Grocery shopping went well. Lots of paper products at Sam's Club. Later took diesel cans to station and filled them. $2.299/gallon. Cleaned last leaf of lawn for this year. Put mower, Trak-Vac and blower away until next spring. Back into house to relax. No plans for today.

Talked to youngest son. Has been at home for 3 weeks from his problems with no feeling in his hands and feet. Is on such strong meds he does not know where he is most of the time. Yesterday he found out in-laws tested positive for CV. Sure could use some of those special prayers. Going to be a very quiet Thanksgiving here.

Michigan Covid cases 321,121. Deaths 8,774. Oakland county cases 24,864. Deaths 1,203. There have been 6,500,000 Covid test conducted in Michigan so far. Another misleading news report in my town. Positive test have jumped 90% in the last week. Real story. There were 9 last week. This week 17. No report on how many are being treated that tested positive.

Some good news. When I let Sassy out this morning I could hear the owl hooting in woods.

Sandhill Cranes enjoying a sunny afternoon.

Don and Randy, thanks for the vaccine info.

Buckeye, funny video. When I went to Sam's Club yesterday I forgot my mask. Guy at door gave me one to use so I did not need to go back to car for one.

David, trim looks good.

Everyone stay healthy and safe.

Good Morning All.

Getting away from politics. Yesterday afternoon was really nice. It was warm enough that I had to shed some layers. I got the gutters on the garage and the horse barn blown out. I ran out of gas before I got the high gutters on the barn blown out. That's OK because the trees over there still have leaves. I got a bunch of small piles of sticks hauled off to the branch pile. Trees sure shed a lot of sticks.

I have been running in circles trying to figure out how to re-deck a small trailer I use at the farm. I have a bunch of nice lumber I bought in an auction lot but I can't tell if it is treated. I'd rather use treated but I may just go ahead and use what I have.

I hope everyone is taking care,

Chris

43 and clear except a few contrails, which have sure mated and multiplied this week :) ...going to 67.

Ron, prayers for your son. Great crane pic.

BEF, waited until my wife got up to look at that mask youtube...we both laughed a lot.

Ted, glad the freezer was successful.

Mowed/mulched all the leaves, and mowed the lawn and trails of grass stragglers and wild onions. Then cha-chinged the mower, but ran out of time to clean under the deck. Been putting off refilling my diesel jug...don't they switch to a winter blend about now? Will probably refill it next time I go that direction to the dump.

Plan to meet up with my North Carolina son for his birthday...the trail I picked along the James River is closed because of flood damage from the big Nov 12th rain...so will find an alternative. I'm bagging up 5 different coffees to take to him along with stuff my wife bought.

Shaping up to be a nice day.

Good morning! It's 's sprinkling outside NOT SPITTING (yuck). The Tempest has giving me a rain notification but no accumulation so I went outside to check the manual rain gauge and the top funnel had rain drops on it but non had accumulated in the tube. So far the rain gauges match 0.00". 64˚F heading to the next high 70s.

Ron those owls can take away a cat or small dog. I have already had to wave off an owl that was making a dive toward Gray2.

Drew, I got your recommended chainsaw grease applicator and will force grease the bar this morning in that little bitty hole. I have had those bearing freeze up before and had to get a new bar.

My front door gets a lot of late afternoon sun and was showing some wear. I ordered some UV protecting wax for wood and applied it yesterday. It went on and off easy and looks good. Saved me a re-varnish job. The big question is how long will it last. Amazon.com: Howard SWAX16 SunShield Outdoor Furniture Wax with UV Protection, 16-Ounce, Yellow: Home Improvement
