Good buy on a B7200?

I'm looking at an 85 B7200 with 17 hp, HST and a FEL. It also comes with a 48 in tiller and a 48 in finish mower. It's got about 1400 hours and the seller is asking $5500. I have about 6 acres and will use it to clean stalls, spread manure, seasonal mowing of the pasture, dragging the riding ring, and whatever else my wife can come up with. This will be the first tractor that I've bought myself, but I've been around them and this seems like a pretty good deal. Any opinions? I think I could haggle down a little bit. I haven't gotten a chance to run it yet but have run a B7200 that is in my family. I really liked the size and what the machine could do. I appreciate any input --

Does seem like fair price the gentleman asking more so w/the attachments.

Do you feel B7200 was well taken care of over the years,and I would take test spin and listen for strange noises etc..

It would be a great little tractor for working in close quarters.

Condition would determine price I would think. At 1400 hours it's just about broke in if well cared for.

I just purchased a B7100, 16 hsp, 1990, 800 hrs, FEL, no implements and I paid $5700 from a local dealer. So this might give you some comparison. I think if the machine is in good shape (the body looks good from the picture), then this sounds like a very good deal. However, this is all relative to the region you live in. Here in the northeast, that machine would be a great deal. Good luck!
