kubota L3710hst, fodable rops, FEL with quick attack heavy duty bucket, and woods RM8400 mower and M120DTC,FEL, air-ride seat
Well, It's been awhile since I last posted, but I have been very busy starting a new business, going to school, and working. The blue guys will probably be mad at me, but I sold my TC45d, and all the equipment that I had because a neighbor I sold it to gave me an offer I could not refuse. I had some problems with it. The hydraulic lines at the couplers leaked. I had to have that fixed twice, faulty couplers, but I could not complain with the overal service of the machine while I had it. The wife almost cried /w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif when he came to pick it up. The machine was just not big enough to do all that I needed to do with it. I still had to go and borrow my father-in-law's tractor and bush hog the fields, and disk the fields. This is hard when he farms 600 plus acres because he is using it when I need to be borrowing it. So, I am going orange and have been looking at purchasing a Kubota M120DTC, FEL, air-ride seat, extra mirror, and 4wd /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif. Also, let me say this, I have not forgot the wife. If ya'll rember, when I would come home from work she was on the TC45D mowing /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif. The neighbor gave me 1500 less than what I paid for it when it was new, but I made that back up on the rear discharge mower, well, he wanted that too /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif. Let's not tell him that, I sure hope he dosen't visit this site /w3tcompact/icons/blush.gif. Anyway, We went to our closest dealer who is 47 miles away, and he did not have a M120, but he had a M110. This is one sweet setup for the price. I went to the green guys but they really like thier equipment by the prices that I got. I could almost buy another compact tractor from the difference. So, that's what I am doing. Me and the little lady have decided to get the following equipment: The M120DTC as listed above, and a L3710, FEL, and woods RM 8400 rear discharge finishing mower. I got a price of about 22, 000 for the L3710 with foldable ROPS, industrial tires, and mower. I promised I would not give out the price of the M120DTC. Does this seem like a good price, and has anybody had any problems with this machine? Anybody know anything positive or negative about the M120DTC? Sorry for the long post, but it has been awhile. James

Congrats - sounds like your gonna have all the toys.
Assuming you got the HST on the L3710. I'd say you got a good deal.

Boy that sounds like a combination!

Hard to compare apples to apples because of the package price I was getting, but I shopped for a couple of months and my L3710 price was in the 20,500 neighborhood with FEL,Hydro,R1's,Ballast-I felt it was a good price. Hope this helps.

Hey James, hard to believe your trading up so soon. I talked to you before about the TC45D, of course then I was Paddock (the name ofthe street I'm on. ) I have seen the M120, its big. This one had a loader and a ton of hydraulic remotes on the back. The loader was 3rd party and quite big. As for the 3710, its a great tractor. I assume your going HST. You should really like the HST on the Kubota, even over the New Holland. The Woods mowers are excellent. I have a D080, an 80 " offset rear discharge. Rat...

Yep, the L3710 is hst, and has the quick attach heavy duty bucket. Your right, I havent had the TC45D long. I liked it, and the wife liked it, but I just need a bigger tractor. Hadn't planned on selling the TC45D, but my neighbor has wanted it since we have had it. I still have about an 8-9 acre yard to mow, and my wife wanted another loader on this one so she could continue to landscape around the house, I hope that me and her don't have anymore fights about who is going to use the tractor /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif. I don't know though, she liked that M120DTC pretty good /w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif. I just could not beat the price on the M120DTC with FEL, 4wd, R mirror, fluid in tires, quick attach heavy duty bucket, 2 remotes, and air ride seat. The green guys wanted around 56,000 for a John Deere 6410 comparable equipped. The Kubota is less than that with the loader on it. To me, it was vaule, and the "bang for the buck" that I will be getting. We go Saturday and seal the deal. The L3710 is in stock with everything on it. After we talked, the dealer had the FEL, and fodable rops put on a new 2001 model he had just got in. He called to say it was ready and could be picked up on Saturday, assuming I was still interested /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif. He said he knew I was going to buy them both. Now, how do I hide the L3710 from the neighbor /w3tcompact/icons/blush.gif. I'll just tell him I really didn't get a good deal on it from what ya'll have all posted back. One, other thing I'm afraid my wife will want the Big Bota, and stick me with little Bota, hey, that could be thier names/w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif. Hey, Rat, have you purchased anything yet, still no TC45D's where you live, or are you going for the L4610? Do you guys that own the L3710 wish you had purchased bigger? Lastly, I can get a multi-discount on these two units that the dealer called me about today /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif. I think it was around 3 percent at the most. The dealer can have Big Bota here in about 2 weeks. James.

P.S. anybody have any problems yet with their L3710's?

Yeah - not enough time to be on it/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif Remember that the 3710 is a compact tractor - not a biggie. I found the HST far smoother then the TC40D I tried. For some reason the loader just won't lift a 6 foot pile of ice/snow (mostly ice) but it curls it nicely. Only about 24 hours on mine so far and am very pleased. When my dad comes to visit me in May I think he may end up trading in his JD755/w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Well, we did it. I am now the proud owner of a L3710Hst called little bota , and a Kubota M120DTC called big bota/w3tcompact/icons/cool.gif. Just wish it wouldn't be 2 weeks before it arrives. I had my wife up and gone by 600a.m. We were at the dealer a little before 700a.m. He was there waiting on me. He said he knew I would be there. They had my L3710 already prepped, and ready to be loaded. He even waxed it yesterday for me. I like him already. Very nice guy. I already attempted to mow my yard today, but the wife said move over buddy, its mine /w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif. The featherstep pedal is a lot smoother than the hydro setup on the TC45D. Me,and her will have to get used to not having the breaks on the opposite side though, but we really didn't use them that much to turn sharp anyway. I just got to set on the porch sipping tea, and watching her work /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif. That orange color grows on ya. I'll have to get a digital camera and take pictures of both of them with their loaders on side by side when the other gets here. He even will come out and change the oil and filters on both of the tractors for the first service intervals. I have been lucky with both, or should I say 3 of my tractor purchases with the dealers, all wonderful guys. The wife had just finished spraying off the tractor, FEL, and mower, and had pulled it in the garage with the door closing when the neighbor came up and over the hill and turned into our driveway. He had come to see if I wanted him to come and mow the yard for us with our old tractor, since we didn't have a way to mow it anymore, but said he could see we had already mowed it somehow. Said, how, but you don't have a way, wife said yea, we got 2 bota's, didn't James tell you, /w3tcompact/icons/blush.gif Should have seen his face when she pushed the remote to the garage door and a new orange bota started to appear /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif

WOW, when you go ORANGE you go ORANGE . I drive a Kubota but I'm starting to get GREEN . If you know what I mean /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Those are both some durn fine pieces of equipment. I would say "Have Fun", but that would be redundant.

Do you have an extra bedroom at your place/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif?

What are the specs on that M120 anyway?

Congrats....

James, I've mentioned this smoothness of the Kubota hydrostatic drive over other manufactuers and it always seems to get lost and ignored. But think about the tractor and its uses. Even though a loader, mower etc. are fantastic assets, nothing gets more use then going forward and backwards, in other words driving. It only makes sense to have that be one of a tractors greatest assets. From having the engine at max. RPM and slowly pushing down on the hydro pedal to min. RPM and quickly putting the pedal down, its always very smooth and no stalls. Still waiting for a tractor James. Kinda glad I did not go with the TC45D, not that its a bad choice, but I've seen a few folks reporting that they have had it recalled requiring the tractor to be split. Rat...
