I think they need the warranty after reading consumer reports. More warranty claims than any other full sized truck. I hope they get the quality back soon.

I've never had a mechanical claim on any GM truck in 30 years and that's running them to 200k most of the time. Trucks don't fail that early unless it's a odd occurrence or you beat them senseless.

That warranty change means nothing to me.

It'll cost me a year since I normally drive 14000-15000 miles a year. Oh well what can you do.

I agree. GM tried it then Dodge to gain market share. Now the smaller imports.

Warranty means nothing to me. I want the best built, not a OK built that I can continually take back.

I'm waiting on the first auto manufacturer to do bumper to bumper warranties longer than 3/36000. I'll be waiting awhile I'm sure. I think that's fair though. Every part on the vehicle should last for 5 years easily.

I remember seeing that too, which was surprising. My 2014 GMC Sierra has been rock solid, and I am generally picky about cars/trucks. Nice to get a new vehicle that I don't have to think about -- it just works well.

wasnt it GM trucks that had the bad (leaking) trans cooler lines that most people in the north (that actually see cold weather) had fail on them like every winter repeatly? and after the 3rd time a dealer would fix it they would say thats it....
