The glow plug indicator on my B7100 just gave up the ghost, is this an integral part of the glow plug circuit or will the plugs work without it?

The coiled wire that gets Hot... ?
That is in series with the glow plug circuit. Without it they will not get power.
You can verify this by checking for voltage at the glow plug, while switching to Glow plugs... KennyV
