Glare off hood

Howdy......first post here.

Getting a L3301. Does the hood reflect glare into the eyes when working during a bright, sunny day?
I had to put undercoating on the hood of my other tractor (blue) to kill the glare reflecting off the hood.

I can't stand glare in the eyes and know the undercoating will work beautifully...but this is a bran-new tractor !j

I never had any issues but you might check with a sign guy that does vinyl wraps. Sure they could do the hood and it could be removed later.

Those ''cool'' flat black hoods on old muscle cars and race cars were not for looks.

My hood is too dusty to reflect light....

You can use a removable coating as well like plasti dip, a lot of companies are coming out with similar products.

I never had a problem with glare on my B2620

A good layer of dirt keeps the sun from fading the paint and reflecting in your eyes.

Ever look at the front end of any aircraft?
They are all painted flat black for that simple reason. NO GLARE!
Even the back sides of propellers are flat black.

On cars and tractors that would not be 'pretty'.

LOL, my tractor is simply dirty sooty black so I have no glare.

Naturally the angle of the hood is a big factor as well, A simple flat hood probably is less reflective than a curved one.
Also the amount of wax U apply is another factor.

A nice coating of dust/dirt will cut the glare every time.
