GL4330 Question re: Remotes

I have an 05' 4330 with two sets of factory remotes installed. I recently purchased a Rankin 3ph log splitter and have a question about set-up. I am assuming I plug the splitter hoses into the remotes but I am unsure which one goes where. I am also assuming that once I get the right hose placement, I will need to bungee the hydro lever down to allow the flow of fliud into the splitter's cylinder. Does it matter which way I open the lever? Sorry for the newbie ?'s but the splitter's manual says nothing and I don't know much about hydraulics. Thanks in advance for the help.

You are right… also it will make no difference as to what hose goes to what side of the control, if it’s wrong just bungee the tractor valve lever to the other direction. KennyV.

I'm told some kubota GL remotes go have a detent on them. Check both valves with the tractor off first before strapping them. I wish I had a detent!

The only detented spool valve option on the Grand L series is for a float detent. This doesn't help with the log splitter since when in the float position both work ports are connected to tank, thus allowing the cylinder to "float".

Hmm, I wonder why Kubota chose not to provide the most common remote valve.

Thanks a bunch. I figured it would be simple but wanted to check before I started hooking things up and letting er rip.
