I did a search but found no prior posts re Kubota fuel gauges.
My L5030 fuel gauge has been reliable until this morning. Just a couple of days ago I ran it down to one bar and the red "fuel" light came on...drove back to house to fill up no problem.
But, this morning I was thinking...sure getting a lot of hours out of this tank...still 3 bars. Planned to go back to house when it hit one bar. Never made it...while showing two bars, tractor died. I dipped the tank...bone dry...Added fuel and all was well again. Added 4 gallons from a plastic can, it went to 1/2 full, then shows all bars after I filled it completely.
I have not had time to check into the gauge...will do so when time permits. Anticipate I'll live with it and refill on 3 bars in future...or replace if it bothers me enough.
Just wondering...anybody have have similar problem with Kubota fuel sensor (assume problem is with sensor since it responds when fuel added)...I have shop manual and will look at it to see if there is an adjustment or something similar that can be done.
