Re: getting a mf 4345 and looking for some feedbac
Hello Plumboy, While I don't have experience with the 4345, I have owned a 1998 4225 for a year this coming January. Other than a bad switch on the air conditioning compressor, the tractor has been trouble free. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
My tractor is the smallest offered in the 4000 series at 65 HP, 55 at the PTO. It has a cab as you have already guessed and the transmission is the 12/4 synchro. The Perkins engine has never failed to start even with temperatures between 15 and 20 degrees.
The tractor now has a tremendous /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif502 hours which is 114 more than when I bought it last year out of Missouri. It also has a Westendorf TA26 loader which I added teeth to. (the teeth make a tremendous difference when digging or grubbing out a stump.
I was interested in a 4325 but got such a good deal on this tractor, I could'nt pass it up./forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
I use the tractor with a Bush Hog Back blade (8'), a 8' cultivator, and a Rhino TW84 bush hog.
I have 67 acres which was timbered 4 years ago and have been using the tractor to clear a lot of the left over tree tops and other debris. I have also been clearing the skidder trails to use for walking and riding trails. The tractor has also been used to keep the brush down around the 3 1/2 acre pond and to pull out the occasional tree that the beavers cut down.
I am really happy with my tractor and I bet you will like yours as well. There do not seem to be to many of the larger frame tractors (such as ours) on this forum, but there are a lot of really good people who will want to see some pictures of your new toy @#, I mean tractor/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif so be sure to post some as soon as it arrives!!.
