Georgia Kubota\'s

In Georgia, the Dept. of Agriculture prints a weekly paper, The Market Bulletin, with a Farm Machinery want ad's section. I thought that some may be interested in what is out there and how much it cost.

Kubota tractor, '97 L2900, 32 hp, dsl, 4WD, 450 hrs, 5' bushhog, $10500.

This is how this weeks ad's read, mistakes and all, without the names of the owners. I am in no way promoting or selling any of the above, I just thought it might help some of you compare prices in your area.

Re: Georgia Kubota\'s

The Market Bulletin is online, and they make it easy to search for prices on all sorts of farm equipment.

Re: Georgia Kubota\'s

mark : very interesting post. the 1st. tractor u listed is almost identical to what i bought this last winter, 98, b2400 hydo, 4wd, w/loader, 5ft. befco finish mower, and 6 ft back blade, 68 hrs on it and just like new. bought out of state , so no tax and delivered.for $14,000. thought is was a fair price, but have notice a great difference in price form one section of country to another. anyone else notice this ?

Re: Georgia Kubota\'s

Frank,

There does seem to be a difference between parts of the country. I can see how shipping might add some to the price, but many times it seems to be way more than shipping cost. When you add your FEL, mower and blade, I'd say you did pretty good.

Re: Georgia Kubota\'s

I think it is interesting when looking at used tractor pricing the difference in availability. I guess it depends on the use and topography of differnet locations. For instance I live in KY and when I browse the local Equipment Trader I might find 4 or 5 compacts and that's it. Browse Florida or Georgia in this case and you will find a whole lot of used compacts.
Just found that interesting.

Re: Georgia Kubota\'s

These have been my observations over the past few years...

I have noticed that in the areas of the country that have flat land and huge farms that monster tractors dominate and there is not much demand for the smaller compact tractors; thus the "used" prices are a little better (if you can find them).

In the hillier terrain parts of the country the compact tractors (especially 4wd) seem to demand a premium price.

In addition to the Georgia Market bulletin being online, there is another site (www.traderonline.com; then choose heavy equipment) that you can do nationwide searches for various tractors and see the difference in prices. I would avoid the search term "Kubota" as there are lots of equipment with Kubota engines that show up and the search limit is frequently exceeded. I typically search for "B2150" or "B2400" and look at the results.

Mark

Gee I have an L1501 with under 500 hours on it. Got it with a slasher, all in good condition for $4300 Aus = $2200 US.

That paper mentions $7500 US = $15,000 Australian.

Wow it must be a REAL GOOD !!! One !!

Cheers
