Does anyone have an opinion on which is better? If so, what are the differences that make one better?

I know nothing of the Gearmore. But I was thinking this morning on the way to work that I wish I had went ahead and bought the Markham for my backhoe instead of the one I got from my local dealer.

I have dealt with Markham a couple of times now, and even had a peice damaged in shipment (and too me, when you have problems is when you see the measure of a company) All my dealing's with them have been great. The shipping damaged peice stayed on the truck, and they jumped right on getting me a replacemtent out.

If I was buying a product they sold today, I would not have a second thought about calling them and ordering.

Thanks for the feedback - I have seen the postings regarding Markham, and have seen only positive experiences - Gearmore is fairly close to me, and if all things being equal, would like to order locallly. However, things seldom are equal.
