Gear Oil Question

/ Gear Oil Question #21
On May 9th, I posted, on this thread, a lubrication chart (published by Kioti)...ALL KIOTI tractors use the same transmission fluid...and ALL KIOTI tractors use the same front axle oil.

This is a quote from the above mentioned chart pertaining to tranny fluid.....Multi-grade transmission fluid rated for differentials, final drives, wet brakes, and hydraulic systems enclosed in a common reservoir.

This is a quote from the above mentioned chart pertaining to front axle oil....SAE 80W-90 gear oil or transmission fluid.

I can't understand all the confusion over what to put in the front axle...you either use 80w/90 gear oil...or if you have a gallon or two of transmission fluid left over, you can use that. (If it will lubricate the gears and bearings in the transmission, and the gears and bearings in the final drive or rear axle....doesn't it seem reasonable that it will do the same for the gears and bearings in the front axle?).....Come on guys...this ain't rocket science......Hill Billy Bob
